Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, proper training is essential for anyone conducting work where there is a risk of falling. This face-to-face course delivers the nationally recognised unit RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights, ensuring you are equipped with the essential skills to work safely and effectively in elevated environments.

What You’ll Learn
Identify work requirements and height-related hazards.
Select, inspect, and fit appropriate PPE (harnesses, lanyards).
Install and monitor safety systems (anchor points, static lines).
Perform work at heights safely.
Implement fall restraint and fall arrest systems.
Execute emergency and rescue procedures.
Clean up work area and store equipment correctly.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment and are eligible to work at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure industries.
Requirements
Age: Must be 18 years or older.
Residency: Proof of WA residency (e.g., WA driver’s licence or utility bill).
ID: Valid Photo ID (Passport, Driver’s Licence, or Proof of Age Card).
USI: Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Language: Conversational level of English for reading, responding, and interpreting safety information.
PPE: Enclosed footwear is required. All other PPE (Harnesses, Hard Hats) will be supplied.
Physical: Must be physically capable of climbing ladders and working in elevated positions.
Re-enrolment Policy
Participants must complete all components of the course within the allocated timeframe. Failure to achieve competency may require re-enrolment and payment of associated fees.
The Assessment Includes:
Theory assessment (Height safety principles).
Risk assessment and safe work method statements (SWMS).
Practical equipment inspection and fitting (Harnesses).
Practical exercises working at heights.
Emergency response and rescue scenarios.

This is a Nationally Recognised Training course:
Statement of Attainment: Issued by All West Training within 3–7 business days of passing.
Wallet Card: A physical wallet card verifying your competency is mailed directly to you after successful completion.
