This face-to-face course delivers the nationally recognised unit RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces, ensuring you are equipped with the essential skills for safe and compliant operation.

What You’ll Learn
Plan and prepare for confined space entry.
Identify confined space hazards and implement control measures.
Safely use atmospheric monitoring equipment (gas detectors).
Enter, work in, and exit confined spaces safely.
Implement emergency and rescue procedures.
Complete entry permits and compliant documentation.
Clean up work area and store equipment correctly.
Upon successful completion, participants receive a Statement of Attainment and are eligible to work in confined spaces in the Resources and Infrastructure industries.
Requirements
Age: Must be 18 years or older.
Residency: Proof of WA residency (e.g., WA driver’s licence or utility bill).
ID: Valid Photo ID (Passport, Driver’s Licence, or Proof of Age Card).
USI: Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Language: Conversational level of English for reading, responding, and interpreting safety information.
PPE: Enclosed footwear is required. All other PPE (Harnesses, Gas Detectors, Hard Hats) will be supplied.
Physical: Must be physically capable of entering and working in restricted spaces (e.g., no claustrophobia).
Re-enrolment Policy
Participants must complete all components of the course within the allocated timeframe. Failure to achieve competency may require re-enrolment and payment of associated fees.
The Assessment Includes:
Theory assessment.
Risk assessment and hazard identification.
Practical confined space entry and exit procedures.
Safety equipment use and pre-operational checks.
Emergency procedure demonstrations.
Completion of entry permits.

Statement of Attainment: Issued by All West Training within 3–7 business days of passing.
